Use the form (this page, below) to name your model. Please be careful to choose an appropriate name, and observe these guidelines when choosing it:
The name you use should begin with a primary category.
Any applicable subcategories should follow the primary category, separated from the primary category and each other by colons.
-
If the existing categories are not appropriate for your model, carefully choose new ones. For example, if your model is a model of the human arterial system, an appropriate model name might be Cardiovascular_System:Arterial_system:Human.
Use words or phrases for the name. Separate the words in phrases with underbars rather than spaces.
Please do not use abbreviations or code terms: for example, use “Blood-Tissue_Exchange” not “BTEX”.
Do not use any characters other than spaces, a-z, A-Z, 0-9, and - (hyphen).
Use an underbar, _, only to separate words.
Use a colon, :, only to separate the categories from each other and from the model name.
Supply a brief, preferably one line, descriptive summary of the model.
Supply at least seven key terms.
Supply the model provider's name (usually this will be your name).
Supply the model provider's email.
Click the “Save” button.
After you click the “Save” button the information you provided will be checked. If the information is complete, your unfinished model index page will be created in the wiki and presented to you for editing (see remaining steps, below). If the information is not complete, you will be prompted to supply any missing information.
Finish the process of adding your model page with these steps:
Click the “Edit this page” button.
Use the media button (

) to upload two
GIF or
PNG image files.
One image file should show an illustrative diagram of your model.
The other image file should show a graph of a representative model solution.
Also use the media button to upload model files to the wiki if the model files are not otherwise linkable.
Change the dummy links in the model index page to point to actual model or image files available at the wiki (uploaded in previous steps) or elsewhere on the web.
Click the “Save” button.
